4T... Really?

So I haven't posted what size clothes J is wearing these days...  I know, totally slacking on this stuff...

Day to Day clothes are big 3Ts, but mostly 4Ts for shirts, and 3Ts for pants.  Although, as recent growth spurt has some of those 3T pants finding our storage box.

Mr. M was most taken off guard, as he did some back to school shopping for J while he was at preschool.  He mentioned he bought all 3T stuff, including an outfit for Christmas pictures.  I hesitated, and he got flustered.  Recovering quickly, he suggested we have J try on the clothes after his bath.

Fair.  Makes sense...

The overalls.  Yeah.  Just fit.  As in if I washed them, they'd probably shrink to not fitting.  The shirt did not even reach the poor child's wrists.  Sigh.  We didn't even bother trying on the Holiday outfit.

So yes, I'm saying J's 3T days are numbered, and 4Ts here we come.

On the other hand, PJs seem to run smaller, so he is in all 4Ts at this point.  And some of those, even make me question if they were sized right... It's crazy.

Mr. M & I picked these 4T Mickey PJs up this past summer while on date night.  I've been saving them, thinking he wasn't big enough yet.  Granted, all of his 3T PJs were starting to look a little more like capri's than pants, I just wasn't ready to accept he was so big yet...

The tough part is weight wise, he is only around 31lbs, which is consistent with 3T clothing.  I love the inner waist elastic band, or we'd be forever pulling up his pants.  And to be honest, I'm not looking forward when his waist shrinks again with the loss of his training pants.  However much I want the child PT'd, and believe me, I do, I'm very worried about keeping his pants up...

It's Bear's Time

And somebody is ready...

No, that is not the new Super Bowl Shuffle... That's the 'I'm sick of mommy taking pictures' off to the races pose.

Mommy & Me

I had been told that I needed to update my Facebook picture, so grandma offered to take one for me.
Pretty awesome, huh?

Pumpkin Picking

Last Michigan post...

We went pumpkin picking.
And J had a blast.  He wanted all of them.
But we sold him on 2.  One big, one little.
Next morning, we talked grandpa into helping us cut one.

He warned us it would go bad, and it did, but cutting was so much fun.
Although, the child who refused to enjoy his smash cake, because it got his hands dirty.  Literally cried when I tried to show him what to do, holding up his hands to be wiped.  Left most of the pumpkin cleaning to Mommy & Grandpa.
He thought it was awesome to watch & say "EWWW!" when Grandpa came up with a handful of pumpkin guts.

And for two weeks, we had a blast lighting this guy every night before bed.

And the other one?  We are waiting till closer to Halloween to cut & light him.

I got bike skillz...

We normally take J's trike up to Michigan with us, however, the new bike rider decided he wanted to take his bike this time.

To show Grandma & Grandpa.
He was doing great.  Even with the little hill built into their road.  Until, like his parental units, he got cocky.  He forgot how to stop.  And he ended up dumping his bike in a neighbor's yard.
There was no more bike riding until we were back home on the level sidewalk & then it came back like he never fell off in the first place.

Saying a winter "good-by" to the boat

J's love for the boat, caused this good-bye to have its own post.  He loves driving the boat, sitting on Grandpa's lap & saying "Go Fast!"

From the moment we got there, until we actually got on, J was asking "Wanna go on boat?"  He asked this of Grandpa.  He asked this of Grandma.  He asked this of Mommy.  Repeatedly.  It was adorable.

But not nearly as adorable as this picture.

Saying a winter "good-by" to Grandma P

Grandpa P is coming to celebrate Halloween with us, as I'm expecting to be working that weekend & he's going to watch little man...

But Grandma has decided old man winter is coming in to stay, so she's packing her bags and heading south.  I have to agree, waking up to a view of the Gulf and beach every day over gray skies, even if they are over a lake of water would be enticing to me as well.  Especially when accompanied by warm temps.

So the first weekend of October we packed up & headed to Michigan to visit them & say good-bye to Grandma.

Grandma & Grandpa offered to come visit, but mommy was craving Olga's.

J is not as big of fan of Olga's as me, but then again, he's still not eating salad or an actual Olga, just a kid's grilled cheese Olga.  So he's not really able to understand why Olga's is mommy's favorite.

However, he has learned of the planes and cars he gets to drive and fly for being a good boy while we eat at Olga's.

We even tried the Cedar Point rollar coaster, which led to a very scared little boy who was having a really hard time enjoying Mommy & Grandma cheering him on to let go & yell "Whoa!" when it went downhill.  But it was enough, to not want to get off either.

Apple Picking Kids Farm Toys...

J had such a blast playing with his friends...
Then he had to ride a much less scary cow.
Then, two seconds later, it was onto the tractor...
Until we spied the BIG red tractor...
 Then we practiced driving it...
Until, we realized we'd been sitting for more than a minute in one place.  So of course that curtailed that...
Although, the "Big Elmo Red" got us back a few times before we left.
Being the only 2 year old amongst 3 year olds, I was surprised how J measured up.  The girl in green is slouching, otherwise she is even to a little bit taller.

Is it wrong, I love that J is going to be tall?

I keep wanting to whisper to him... Grow baby grow!!!  Life is so much easier when you are tall.  And yes, I may be thinking about how much easier it is to carry a little extra weight when you are tall because you have that much more room to distribute it across.

Apple Picking Kids Farm

J LOVED the petting farm after apple picking.  Much like last year, he was up for feeding the animals.  Although this year, I noticed a shyness when the animals actually came over to eat said offered food.

Mommy may have had to get her hand dirty to show J how to do it without fear of the cow eating his hand...

Where has the time gone?

I'm so sorry, I've just been swamped with visiting my parents & then followed up by work, work, and more work.  I'm into my 6 day weeks, and that is leaving little time at home for anything fun, like blogging.

I did download pictures on Sunday night, so now I have them ready to go, I just have to make time to up the stories behind them.

I will try to get some up this week.
