Saying the Pledge

I pweldge allegiance
to the flag
of the United States of Erica
(huge breath)
and to the Republic
for which it stands
One Nation
Under God
In-div-isible
with Liberty
and Justice for all.

And yes, I think it is adorable that he is saying Erica instead of America these days.  I know this time will pass way to quickly...

Preschool - Meeting the Firemen pt 2

I have tons of pictures, being the parent helper there that day...
DH & I have joked that J has a girlfriend at school.  They play house together.  And they hold hands.

Looking at these pictures, I was not surprised to it was little Miss Erica that he stood by most of the day either.
And yes, I think it is beyond adorable...

The class lined up for the closing commentary of the firemen...

Preschool - Meeting the Firemen

J's preschool had our local Fireman come to visit.  It was wonderful in letting the kids see the truck & discussing safety too.

J LOVED it...

Although, I had to laugh at his consistency at being at the front & first.  It reminded me so much of me when I was a preschooler...

And possibly into grade school.
...J loved all the gear...

Touching base...

I've been neglectful of this blog.  Not because I don't have news to share, because I have loads of it... But more, my heart has not been in it...

This past month, I experienced stress like I haven't known before.  And that's saying a lot considering Grandpa P served in the military during war time when I was in high school.

During my annual exam, a lump was found in my right breast.  A mammogram determined it was not something to worry about so I didn't.  Upon my recheck, it had grown significantly.  I was sent to see a surgeon, from there sent for a ultra sound on that breast.  Luckily, it was nothing more than my Insulin Resistance causing issues with my body.

However, as I have since told a Dr. this was way to much drama over a cookie.

So I have been engaged in reorganizing my life to better fit a healthy lifestyle for my heart, soul & mind.

As a result, I haven't had much in me for anything else.

Please forgive me & bare with me over the next few days (possibly weeks) as I get us caught up on all the fun happenings...

1st Blackhawks Game

And if I thought his Bear's seats were good, they were nothing compared to his 'Hawks seats...

In the Theatre section.  Mr. M's boss generously gave us his tickets to the Hawk's Game on October 23rd...

With free food & drink.  Yes, real drinks.  To which I told Grandpa P, that Mr. M & I do not drink enough to justify being in those seats...
We were joined by Aunt Liz (aka Lucy).  Due to her Major League connections, J received a backpack full of Blackhawk goodies...

He now has to carry his new Blackhawk backpack to daycare.

1st Bears Game

And he had seats in the United Club.

For Free...
Mr. M's boss generously gave us his tickets to the Bear's Game on October 17th.
J had a blast.  He did very well using the wonderful family restrooms that are apart of the United Club.  And he made it till the top of the 4th quarter, which is a full quarter longer than I had expected.

Although, on the way out, I wanted to stop & shop for some Bear's gear for me, since we would probably get these tickets again, however, I was promptly informed that I would not be invited back - since I'm a jinx & all.

Happy Halloween

In 2008, he was a Kangaroo...
In 2009, he was Elmo...

And in 2010, he was Mickey Mouse.

I have many more pics, but wanted to get this one up to share...
